maybe try without the lemon juice added at all.... i've heard that acid helps close the cuticle of the hair when in reality you want the cuticles to be raised to help lock onto each other. it won't harm to give it a try without the lemon for a while and if you get better results stick with it

i agree with didjeri you need to take a step back and look at the situation and decide if this is for you or for them just so you can be the same as everyone else. 3 years is a long time... i hope you make the right decision for yourself and are happy with it

tbh for the best price it'll most likely be your independent health food shops rather than the big high street guys (i love the body shop but it's v expensive) and you'll have that good i supported a local business feeling
please tell us your findings tho it will be good to know what other brands are good for dreads x

i live in the uk too and i went in to our local health food shop today and asked and they had some that looked quite good and not at silly prices either.
