General Talk

Camamile is good depending on the brand. Also Sleepy time is awesome! And Extra Sleepy time before bed knocks you right out it relaxes you so much, Celestial brand. Try it out.

is rinsing my dreads everyday okay?

Dread Maintenance

You just have to tie them up, if they are too short then use a shower cap thing. I don't wash mine every shower. It definitely makes showers shorter when you don't have to wash them.

Drying baby dreads

Dread Maintenance

I've had my dreads over 8 years now and I've dried my hair with a hair dryer almost just as long. In the summer time its easy to let it air dry but when its winter and its cold out its not good to go outside with them wet, mine have actually froze before and when I'd whack them against something it would sound like a rock. That's my experience though, I guess it depends on your hair type cause everyones dreads differently.

Any dready midwives out there??

General Talk

I think its a great idea, I've also thought about it. I definitely want to do the whole midwife thing when I have children. I think its best to be like a certified nurse and to have the experience. If someone is going to trust you with their life and their child's i think it would look better to have more experience. Some type of classes anyway and a certificate.

I want to know if I should do what this guys says about washing his hair.

General Questions

Try head and shoulders I've used it since I started 8 years ago and I've never had a problem. I never even thought to use anything else, shampoo has always been the thing for me. Any shampoo, I even used head and shoulders 2 in 1 cause it was bought for me on accident. Nothing happened, its not going to remove the dreads unless your only like weeks in.

"the dread nodd"

General Talk

People see dreads and assume the person is rasta, someone on the chair lift today while I was sking under them was smoking a joint and yelled it to me haha. I think people with dreads will always have that special connection for the most part. I've met some people and had such a strong connection you don't even need to talk, your eyes do the talking.
