Sorry need help

sorry i know every wonders the same thing but i cant find the answer. but i go to a strict school and have to take a dining room class, and don't get me wrong i love my dreads and all the loops and craziness. well i have had my dreads a little over a year now and about 95 percent of them are great, but there are like 6 that wont lock no matter what i do. is there anything i can do to quicken then and neaten up my locks temporarily until i get through this class. thank you all i appreciate it.

i do kinda natural kinda twist and rip... so in a month are so when they mature more they should be fine Vaccine said:

are you doing the natural way or did you backcomb them? i backcombed them and every time i washed they started loosing up. now its not so bad but it was crazy a few months ago.

i wash my hair once a week somtimes twice... well when i do it once...by time it reaches like a day befor the washing they are tight and stuff.. like almost formed... then i wash them and they like un kknott and straihten out..i spray them with salt water like i read somewhere else... thanks for the help

The best thing I can think of Is to put maybe a smaller bead that can stay at the base of that dread that might keep the industrial ball from poking through it,

I used to have piercings when I started but I ended up taking out my eyebrow cuz it was to much of a pain in the butt, other than that, make sure the ball isn't a spiked one cause those will hook loose hairs and hurt if you try to take it out without care.

i have an industrial piercing. and my roots where they aren't knotted they wrap around the ball and bar of the jewelry. i think it's affecting the locking process. any tips on what i should do to prevent that. thanks

my friends mom told me about a girl dreading her hair in college. she said she would put hand soap or dish soap in them and start at the roots and kinda twist all the soap out.and by time you twisted to the tip they wher dreadlocks. i was just wondering if it was true, if it could work

oh i wouldn't be buying a whole tub i have some from when i started my dreads. but okay thanks everyone Knottysleeves said:

Like Matted Dew said, it won't make your hair fall out or anything. But it would be a huge waste to buy an entire tub of wax just for one use... and that one application WILL stay in your dreads. It's a risk.

Just mix up a saltwater spray (1 or 2 teaspoons salt to 2 or 3 cups of water) and palmroll it in the day of the photoshoot, that'll take care of the major frizzies.

If your roots are really messy, try this method:

It won't really help your roots lock up, but it wraps up all the loose hair really well.

i feel pretty dumb asking this but here it goes lol. i know wax is shit. but my mom wants me to get my picture taken for a card or something. and i wanted to make my dreads neater. but she won;t bring me to get some aloe vera gel. and i was wondering if their was something else i could use. and if not how bad would wax be for one day? thank you.

yea i have the same thing happen to me man. it deffinatly sucks. but i agree it does make you more patient and really raelize who is your firend and who isn't. my family does the same shit say i can't make it or what ever. haha yea my gf said she'd leave me. and i just go do it if my hair actually bothers you enough to the point after what we went through or what ever i can't remember along those lines lol. but she never left lol. bbut just hang in there
