I'm 18 and am loosing hair above my temples. I am scared of going bald but I'm not going to cut my hair. I am going to let it fall out on it's own I think.At least I can say I have had dreadlocks

I have the same problem and I wash my hair at least once a week. AND I don't do anything to it, just let it be. I don't know the reason for the thinning of the dreads but it's scarying me.If it's nothing to do with the method, diet, or washing, my best guess is that the hair might be falling out and I'm going bald.

It's all good to love dreadlocks which are unique. They might be flat or differently shaped. However, if you're really unhappy with it then yeah, just roll the dread where it is flat. Baring in mind that this might result in breakage of the hair. At the moment you wouldn't really be worried about a few hairs breaking. In the long run however, this might lead to the dread falling off or something like that. I don't know though because I haven't had dreadlocks for long. I'm just guessing
