Whats your shampoo like?

Dread Products

i used dreadheadhq for the first 6months and i have tried the baking soda last week (which i liked but i have also been using am-o-lin soap free baby shampoo (no laurel sulphatethingys) which i will continue to use.probably planning to alternate between the baking soda one week and baby shampoo the next. But keep in mind not all baby shampoos are free from residues.

the shame on them list of bad dreadlock sites

General Talk

i get what your saying completely =p Jess Gergely said:
eh, my kit was only $37. i mean, they also have a bunch of people on their site who have successfully used it, too. if it works for them, i don't really see the need to sit here & bad talk them just because they're making money off of stuff they don't really need to sell. it's business. it's also, in a sense, the buyer's fault as well. one, for not being educated about it, & two, for being the stupid ones to buy it. also, if the kits work perfectly fine for someone who uses it, like myself for example, there's really no need to anyways. i mean, there are plenty of different way people like to maintain & make dreads. one way just can't be right, there are plenty. regardless of the way a person makes them, or what kit they use, if any, it works for them somehow. & if it ends up not working in the future, then you can always start again. but i find no need to really bad talk them because of the stuff they sell. you gotta make money somehow.

Palm Rolling

Dread Maintenance

haha i have no idea - i just thought it helped them keep their rounded shape and perhaps catch some loose hairs back into the dread! I'm still learning though

Whats it like being a dready parent?

Dreads in the Family

I feel for you with the whole grocery store thing. Rude, rude people. I think that would make me even happier to have dreadlocks though - they really do let you see just how superficial some people are. And the people that really are truly beautiful on the inside will treat you no differently than before you dreaded.I find that taking the kids with me - people arent as judgemental as when i am by myself. Might have something to do with kids looking more presentable and loved by me (definately not saying yours aren't). i drove off with my wallet on the roof of my car today. Had to park my car and go looking for it. So here i am on a cold winters' morning wearing old jeans, a short t-shirt, barefoot (i hate driving with shoes on), tattoos showing and dreads walking up the wrong way of the street on the bitumen. Should've seen all the looks i got then! hahahaha

Lifestyle changes.

Alternative Lifestyles and Subcultures

OMG :o how do you react when they start praying for you and asking you to try to get up and walk? That is quite disturbing.

Dying a few Blonde?!?!?! : (

Dread Maintenance

I have to agree with puppy on this one. Best not to bleach dreads. Sucks though because i have naturally really dark hair and i love being blonde but I cant take the risk of having bleach stuck right in the middle of the dread eating it from the inside out.
