help please... neglect sectioning!!

my hair knots up really easy, if i have it down and loose all day id have to brush a ton of knots out atleast twice a day so i figured my hair would naturaly dread pretty well...

so ive not brushed it for nearlya week and looking at it i can see sections forming....

HOWEVER this is only midlenght downwards.

how do i section up to the roots without ripping appart whats already formed???? or do i leave it and hope they work out themselves??????

as i said my hair gets knotty really easy and i dont want to leave it too long bfore i do something if i need to! plus i need to wash it now and i dont want to mess things up

Id really like to think i can do this jus purley by neglect and not use TnR but im worried mybe i have too much/too long hair!!

any advise would be handy!!

Yes indeed!! im bout 2 weeks in with neglect!! starting to section nicely. will give it a month or so and maybe TnR a lil. still got my 3 origional TnR that are about a month old.

my bf used to have crochet dreaads and offered to do mine but i told him id rather do this. hes cool with it.im sure ur fella will come around eventualy! u no what some guy are like, no patience! watching them grow and chhange is part of the whole process!!!

cool cool, remember u signing up bout the same time as me. will be cool to see a pic. im still pocrastinating!! waiting to meet up with my friends to help section my hair, its crazy long with layers and is a bit mental so need help!!

This is actualy the reason i started looking at dreadlock sites an joined this page.

I was tellin my friend that id pretty much decided to dread my hair and she was fairly negative about it - typical ignorance, they smell. theyre dirty. ull never be able to do anything with them. u wont be able to get anew job.....

well tht night i had a dream that i had loads of dreads.. like 100s and they were really weighing me down and making me tired... so i sat down and had a rest .... then they started to wind round me an cucoon me.

i ended up in aa giant ball of dreads like violet from charlie and the choclate factory with just my hands and feet poking out!!!

*neither this nor may friends neggy attitude has put me off!!*

i made this mistake too!! tho i used loads of LUSH products thinking 'oooohhh hand made, natural... this must be good' i have fussy skin so react to lots of chemicals

when i started to react to their soap i did some geeking... LUSH use some horrible stuff.. for a start they use sodium laureth sulphate (sp) in nearly EVERYTHING!!!!

im so disapointed in them , i thought i would used their bars on my dreads but i wont even set foot in there now. so sad, their stuff is so yummy!!!

I had a rediculously shit year and was diagonsed with anxieity and depression ( i know thats not the same) but I cant totaly understand how much the way you look and the way u see ur self affects your state of mind!!

at least you have a clear goal to aim for and you know what ur hair is capable of!!

i did kinda suggest maybe not doing that but all i got was ego and stubborness!

up to him aat the end of the day, his hair isntvery long at all may be 3 nches so if it all goes horribly wrong he wont lose alot!! jus hope something got through!

told him to keep an eye out for me wen i do mine!!!

so im down the pub on sunday ( i know drinking on a school night!! but its karaoke, an Mazza - Tainted Love has to be done)

and a guy i know comes in. now i dont want to offend anyone but hes the typical white boy who thinks hes a black gangsta.... and fails

hes just dreaded his hair and its plastered with wax. plus he had washed them the day before so they were all soggy and gooey and damp and ..... Horrible!!!

id rather have the biggest birds nest hair then have it feel like that!! it was disgusting!!

just wanted to share!!!
