3 months . How am I doin?

Member Journals and Timelines

Well i got suckered into buying a dhhq kit but i actually only used the shampoo at the beginning. Tried the lock peppa on one dreadand it looked so dirty i never used it again. Never used wax thankfully.I had to stop using the dhhq shampoo cause it was gettin me really itchy and dry, so switched to BS/ACV Im really mad to have lost money on that.

Hi guys, just wanted to post some pics of me at 3 months. I used TnR on day 1 then just let them go and do their thing. They all came undone then came back together. I wash with BS/ACV every 3 or 4 days and go to the beach weekly. Still got lots to go but I'm lovin the ride! How do you guys think I'm doin for 3 months?

Blow drying dreads?

General Questions

Will blow drying my hair after washing slow down the dreading process? If so, why? I surely use a blower after to fully dry if it's late or to blow off flakes of dandruff.

Blunted Tips

General Questions

Oh, I've tried combing them out, but they wanna stay. So I'll let them be, Jaja.

Could be. Some locks just blunt on their own. If you could gently brush them loose, I'd recommend it. But like you said, if you would have to take scissors to them, then just let them be and be careful with how you dry

Blunted Tips

General Questions

I think the hair type and texture has a lot to do with it.My hair is pretty curly and I'm only 3 months in with my TnR and already half of my 54 dreads are already blunted on their own. And I can't undo them unlike I take a scissor to them, which I absolutely won't. But as I said, I think my crls had to do with it.

Interlocking advice and maintainance

Help! Save My Dreads

When I started my research as to how to dread I added many "lockticians" on my Facebook. The day I t&r'd and uploaded a photo I was immediately harassed by them telling me how my hair looks horrible, how they can "fix" it, and that my locks would have looked way better if I had done it with them. I tried to teach them but, don't know if by ignorance or greed, they wouldn't stop harassing. So I deleted them all. I thank you guys all cause you are my inspiration and at this sloppy stage you guys always lift me up with awesome words. Also you don't want to rob Me. ;)
