Help with combining and making dreads soft after bleaching!

Help! Save My Dreads

Bleaching, hair dye product may also be stuck inside your dreads. Wax can form small air pockets which hold in the solution and compounds the problem. Bleach is hard work to get out dreads without wax. Hope it all works out for you.

first job

dreads jobs employment issues

Tons of people are unemployed right now, and they don't have dreads. Lush hires dreadies and so do hip clothing stores and bicycle delivery services. You can't change other peoples thinking, so broaden your horizon and look outside the box for a job. Go on the internet and find hip places in your area, then apply there. Always put on a smile, be polite and confident when asking if there is an opening, during an interview and handing in your resume.

Good luck and remind yourself that jobs are scarce, just hang in there.

A bit of 'oops', but YAY anyway!!!!!

Dreadlocks Journey Emotional Support

Hi Bells. I also did T&R after waiting a couple of weeks for the natural separating to happen. Leave your hair alone now, don't retwist, retighten or fuss with it as it needs to loosen in order to dread- the loosening will get rid of the braided look. (Sometimes more twist and less rips are made with T&R which causes the braided look) All you need to do is separate so that dreads don't join others. If you have not seen it, Baba Fats has a video posted on how to separate. Do nothing else, just sit back and enjoy the funky journey.

My review of Voodoo Soaps and Hard Water

Dreads Hair and Scalp Health

Hi Dawn, I read your comment below and hope that I did not offend you in any way with my comment that I would not try your soap because it was created for your bi-racial daughter that has/had dried out hair. I would only assume, without trying your product, that it is more on the conditioning side. I am happy for you that you are able to start your own business and wish nothing but success. Doing something we love is the best job in the world. Peace and love sent to you.

I did creat this for my biracial daughter who has very fine and straight caucasion hair. Biracial kids come in many shapes sizes and color and we can not assume that every biracial child has course hair. I have three children and they all have thin fine hair, my nephews are biracial one has fine hair one has curly un course hair. neighbor has biracial kids and one has course hair and one is tight two biracial nieces and both have very thick curly hair but still not course. My productwascreated for my childthat'sthe short story.

My review of Voodoo Soaps and Hard Water

Dreads Hair and Scalp Health

I am reading posts on this soap and checked out Dawn's page. She says on her profile that the Voodoo soap was created specifically for her daughter who is bi-racial and had dried out hair. Without trying the soap out myself, as a caucasian, this would be a red flag not to use the soap as it is meant to condition African textured hair, as theirs dries out.

It is probably a wonderful soap for undreaded hair, and African textured hair, as it conditions, but I would not use it on my dreads.

Dawn, it is lovely that you were able to make a soap for your daughter.

Contentment comes with age. We know who we are by this time and are not pressured by others to be what we are not. Cheers to you too!

I turned 41 last month, started dreading a couple months before I turned 40. I had questioned my decision at times to dread at this point in my life, but it boiled down
to 'fuck it, it's my hair, my life, my choice'.......
