Dry locks

General Questions

There so dry because you are not using the ACV to balance your haira natural PH balance its getting stripped. But any long term use of BS will pull out color in your hair over time, try a dread shampoo bar and do BS with ACV a few times a month

I don't know what to do about my dreads! They look so ratty!

Help! Save My Dreads

it sounds like your roots were interlocked, which is actually really bad for the dread! dreads shouldnt ever be forced or "fixed" there is never any need for "touch ups" or "tightening" your hair dreads naturally its technically impossible to dread in a day, or a month, it takes a very long time to acctually look mature and be mature some never fully mature! so id say just leave them 100% alone and see how that goes! use any wax?? or products?

stop tnr'ing your hair keeps undoing it because not all hair can hold the artificial knotts in, all my back combed dreads fell out too so i know what your feeling lol. your gonna want to leave them alone 100% if you want nice dreads neglect is probably the only way your hair will dread, and thats the BEST way. anything to "start" dreads isnt needed. ALL hair dreads on its own the only thing you need to do is wash and seperate your hair will actually section itself no matter what you do. hope I helped a little(:

Fresh rosemarry and basil leaves?

Dread Maintenance

So at this point I cant buy any oils just yet, I intend to once I get paid but I have been taking my rosemarry leaves and basil leaves and boiling them into a tea, and pouring them on my dreads for about 30 minutes (after of course letting it cool down in the fridge and sifting out the leaves), I really only leave it on that long because I love the smell it leaves, but is this even an effective way to temporarily get some herbs in my dreadies?
