Driving with the windows down?

General Questions

This is actually a good way to dry your hair. Some times after a wash and its not sunny outside i go for a drive with all my windows down

Best bar soap

Dreads Hair and Scalp Health

I have slightly hard water but I'm still able to do a BS wash without trouble. I just got my nag champa bar yesterday and washed for the first time today and I love it! Better than the liquid I think. Both are good tho.

Shampoo bars...

General Questions

I like the liquid and all. But I prefer a good BS/ACV wash over it.my hair is def not hard to dread. almost at 3 months here and already have some half locked. Maybe If I alternate between the BS and bars I'd be fine. And maybe to a sea salt spray on a bar wash day

What does everyone do with the front?

Introduce Yourself

For me it sucked the first month and a half. hair would get stuck in my facial hair, eylashes, and getting in my face was just annoying. now my bangs and most of my front hair has locked up near the root and i can flip em over my head or tie them back.

Neck Problems!

General Talk

You know. during the first few weeks I had the same exact problem. I just tried not to touch my hair alot shake my head too much I thought it might slow down progress. Each day for weeks my neck would be sore, and ache all day. And because I'm always wearing it down my bangs, loose hair in the front and such would get in my face and annoying. Then I realized my I was being overly careful and just said fuck it. I touch and shake my hair all the time and my hair is progressing great. And no neck problems! As for sleeping i just pull my hair back out of my face. Once I'm asleep it doesnt even matter..

Scalp stench.

General Questions

Maybe its not such a big deal. Just when im looking down, scratching my head, or smell my hair closer to the roots i can smell the odor.

Scalp stench.

General Questions

Right now I have the patchouli scented dreadlock shampoo Ill gently pat the shampoo onto my head instead of rubbing my fingers and scrubbing it. I use 1/2 BS cup to 5 cups of water with around 10-20 drops of tea tree and lavender, some peppermint. Usually Ill dump it all into a large bowl and soak my head in there. Ill leave in for 20 mins rinse then do ACV with a little less oils. My actual hair will smell great but by the next day or two I can already smell my scalp. This has just started to happen, wasnt an issue in the beginning.
