Welcome to the community and to the best site on the web for healthy dreadlocks. To help with dandruff and itchy scalp, after every wash, finish off with a cold head rinse, as cold as you can take it. This is an easy and great preventative measure. ...Peace

Welcome. When you're done looking through the dreaducation page, check out the timeline forums to see what the first few weeks/months will look like. It takes about 1-2 years to form healthy mature locks. But the wait is worth it. Since you get the chance to learn so much about yourself and about other people in that time

Welcome to the community and to the best site on the web for healthy dreadlocks. Have you started yet? The dreaducation section at the top of this site is a good place to start for information. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask, many members here will help you out. You will learn that the natural method is best, then the twist & rip method. Whatever way you choose, let your hair separate naturally first, give it a couple of weeks. This way you are not forcing it into joining other hairs it might not want to...perhaps they are not on friendly terms...while it is separating, you can learn all about how to grow healthy dreads...peace
