but.. even though im back..i did break my leg badly and will need surgery and recovery time

so i can do alot of what i always did, but might still need ypu to fill in the gaps

I won't get to fly all season now

but luckily a guy owes me a whole lot of money, and when he pays me back I can join a diferent soaring club as soon as I recover and get many lessons a week and solo as soon as possible so I can get my pilots rating next year I hope

Sucks you won't get to fly.😔 I've only ever been in the air at all a couple times. Someone took some friends and me up in a biplane when I was a kid. That was pretty awesome. Then a little over a year ago I rode in a chopper to a hospital. The situation was terrible, but the ride was pretty awesome. We were about 6000 feet up and the view was absolutely incredible. The mountains looked so small! I wish Red Bull really did give ya wings, cuz I would drink them every day.

I didn't intend to ramble on.😂 I hope you're able to do those things! It sounds like a lot of fun.😊

biplanes are awesome

but nothing can compare to gliders! thats pure flight

1st off.. you only have 1 shot at landings so your always the safest pilot there is

2nd having no engine you have to read the clouds the ground the terrain the weather for sources of lift to keep you up.. normaly if you release at 3k feet your down in 20 minutes and max distance is maybe 20 miles..if you can extend hat to 6 hours and 250 miles or even 500 and at speeds above 120 knos your not just gliding but soaring.

this is our club..38 years ago we opened the doors to disabled soaring just last week a paraplegic won the day at the glider world championships.

glider aerobatics, theres nothing more graceful, yet high intensity

wave soaring, downwind of mountain ranges when conditions are right there are standing waves that go clear to the stratosphere. you can go straight up higher then any power plane can fly (if you have a space suite) but the perlan 2 space glider is a pressurized glider designed to reach the edge of space using just mountain waves

mountain ridge soaring this is the most beautiful high adrenaline and exciting way to soar, your using a strong wind being pushed up over the mountain, the closer you fly to the ridge the stronger the lift, and the faster you have to fly.. this is how you can ly 800 to 1000 miles at top speeds and break records.

plus its pure awe inspiring to be so deep into remote unforgiving  nearly untouched terrain. 

pure epicness glider pilots often giggle or even break down into tears, or exclaim wow this is amazing oer and over again

glider racing your every split second decision maters it can mean the diference between winning and landing in a field in disgrace. your ability to read the atmosphere and use it to your advantage is all important

and the most insane aerobatics ever.. g forces that crush the air out of your lungs  invered flat spins.. normaly you use 2 fingers on the stick and move it just millimeters in these high g mauevers it takes 2 hands and all your might

and finaly the sailplane grand prix.. fast, wild, very close quarters  using just earth energy

I haven't been on much the last few weeks because I literally haven't been able to. Keep getting error messages and what not so just haven't even bothered trying for the last week or so.

I think I'm at 5 weeks today so will post up some photos later hopefully.
