Chat settings

Someone help ! I am new to this and the sound alert every time someone chat's is driving me crazy. How do I turn off the chat or at least the sound associated with is????

I know.....it is a horrible sound. It is like fingernails running across a chalkboard. If you look on the bottom right hand side you will see Dreads Online and then a number....right beside that is the volume control. I have to adjust it all the way down to be on this site. Drives me nuts.

and I have to do it every single time

i can change the sound to a boring 1 but most ppl like the chat sounds

u can also disconnect from chat if your not chatting

You are very welcome Tara and Soaring i have never heard anyone say that they liked the chat sound. I have heard lots of complaints but never anything positive.

Every single time I come on here I have chat up. I write in chatoccasionally. But I promise you I have been in chat while people were complaining about it.

and ive asked dozens of times for someone to priivide better sounds they prefferecd but n=most ppl have sau-[id they like the chygat sounds

but igf u want something diferent i ned 2 sounds mp3 format low quality small filesize

2 sounds 1 for regular chat 1 for initial private chat

i'd gladly change it if sop]=omeone provided something better
