I got great news far as soap. Use Ital soap instead of other soaps. Dem soaps will dry out yu skin and yu feel tight in di face like botox. LOL Serus, though. Yu wan irie soap that will leave yu feeling fresh. So I mon use either Black soap or Aloe Vera Shea Butter soap. If yu ever in WA state, stop by "Positive Vibes" store in the Super Mall in Alburn. Everyting irie fi locks there. More time, soon come. Mi gaan.

Hey guys! So im a Asian guy and i used to straighten and spike my hair, and it would take me ages every morning, until a couple months back, i had a bit of a mental break down, (or thats what my mates called it), and shaved it all off.
My hair is only just starting to grow out enough now, to start thinking about what i should do with my hair , and above all, dreads is the stand out option. They'd be way easier than thosegod-damnspikes i had and they would suit my personality for the most part. Ever since i shaved my hair, i started taking a way more chilled view to life, and it crossed my mind that dreads might be a option for when my hair grows out, but i thought a Asian dude with dreads would probably look really weird.

I was in Thailand for the past 2 weeks and i saw a bunch of Thai guys with dreads and i was like, "dude, Asian guys can totally look good with dreads", so i decided to start looking into it more, and thats why iv'e signed up to the site. The problem is, its been 2 months since i shaved my head and my hair is only about 3/4 of an inch long, and i have no idea how short you can start growing dreads from. I assume i could start the neglection method at this length, and i will be doing exactly that, but i have to ask you guys, what other methods can i try? Or how much longer do i have to grow my hair to try other methods? The Twist and rip method interests me, but it looks like i would have to have alot longer hair to try that.
Can anyone suggest any methods i can try with short hair, or tell me how long to grow it before i can try anything?
My hair is actually pretty thick and wiry at the moment, (whichsurprisesme after ive spent years with hair that was really thin from thestraightener).I'mnot that worried if the dreads don't look great while my hairs too short,becauseIwear the same wool beanie pretty much everyday of my life,Ilove the thing to death, so if they don't look great at first, ill just cover them with it, as long as they look good when they grow out.

Anyway, if you guys have any suggestions on how to start growing dreads for a guy with real short hair, or if you know how long i should try and get my hair before i start, let me know.

I began my dreads as twist and rip and backcombing but they keep coming apart or meshing together. i don't like putting rubber bands in because I've noticed its been the cause of some meshing... i want to do them natural and some of them are too tight to undo and start over... any advice?

the gop has made alot of noise lately about corporations being people and money being speech

the same gop under the bush reign of terror started stripping away all our rights, but the right to freee speech remained. at the same time they push for looser gun control, making it easier to get many guns.

so logicly, if money is speech and we have the right to free speech we have the right to free money.

banks are holding on to lots of money and thety dont exactly give it to you easy

so we have the right to beare arms and the right to free speech (free money) so the gop is encouraging us to rob banks to get out=r free money.

ontop of this they are making it harder for the poor to live but making it easier for millionairs to become billionairs.

the mega rich are storing masds quantaties of free speech in the form of green papers in bank vaults while the poor are losing their houses and living on the streets.

this creates the perfect opportunity for greatter equality and a mote stable economy as the poor take up arms rob banks get their free speech in the form of lil green papers and put that money back into circulation

speech held silently within a vault does no good to nobodyt, but freed free speech put back into circulation, used to purchase houses cars and goods stimulates the economy creartes jobs for the jobless and stability to the system

ofcourse the gops solution requires the instability of thousands and thousands of poor running around with assault rifles robbinhtg every bank in america

and somehow this solution sounds a lil crazy to me

wouldnt it be lil safter if money was money

corporations were corporations

and the corporations and the mega rich just pulled their own weight

im aall for safer saner solutions

the news has been talking about the gop primary almost exclusivly ignoring the democratic race completely

while the gop had a new hampshire primary the democrats had one as well and oboma lost votes to w home town here, the one and only vermin supreme! (real name)

verrmin supreme the candidate with enough class to wear a rubber boot as a hat got a 3.1% of the vote as seen here

3% is enough for the missinformed citizens party to legitimately collect campain finabnces and run television ads.

as a contrast well known republicans like newrt gingritch only got 11%

my dreads are twist and rip and about 2 1/2 - 3 months old and are locking up nicely. however, the friends i trusted to do them, didnt do a very good job. the sectioning was not done properly and i have hair crossing at the roots. what problems can this cause further on in the dreading process?

the ends of my back combed hair seem to have knotted some what on some of them. i can feel them getting tighter after my last baking soda rinse. colleagues say theyve deffinitly changed since last week. i feel like progress is being made. i just wish i found this site before hand and done them totally naturally.. but regardless hurray for some changes

It's been a while since I have written a blog on this site and have felt the need to do so again. I have been struggling with Fibromyaliga that is severe due to an already damaged nervous system. I've talked about all those reasons in other blogs I have posted. As the weather has become colder my ability to function has dwindled down to my music. I came across some people who promised great opportunity as well as financial stability. To only realize in the end that some people will say anything to bring some hope and happiness into the moment. Regardless of whether or not they can provide and fulfill their promises. It's been a year now since I started my dreadlock journey and finally have a nice set of locks that I couldn't be happier with. The reason that I strayed away from this community had all to do with the death of my best-friend. We had talked almost everyday since we were five (recently turned 23). She was my closest friend, first kiss and the only constant I have ever had in my life. On Halloween day she was buried in our home town and I haven't been able to make sense of my life from that afternoon. Dreams and reality feel no different because I have never known this life. So here I am, about the lose my home again and moving back into my car. My pursuit of my music has been met with road-block after road-block. There comes a time when your passion or drive isn't haltered, but you just grow tired. The saying "needing a break" couldn't be more true in this case. The only reason I write this is to reach out to this community again for some support in the matter. I have posted a lot of music on here and feel bad at times as it doesn't always relate to dreadlocks and I feel that's what this site should be used for. But if you wouldn't mind taking a listen I simply want to share what I have to offer to the world. there are thousands of tools, products and expensive services to make making dreadlocks easier

with any method comes many other optional maintenances and products

whats never really said much is how all them are optional and unesacary!

so simplifying is easy

1 mantra:

don't do it

should i backcomb over and over?

dont do it

should i crochet again and again?

dont do it

should i wax away th day rolling rubbing twisting twirling poking proding and gluing every hair into place?

hell no dont do it!

so what should be done to dread the easy way?

sit..be silent make this sound auuuuummmmmmm.. raise your spiritual vibration to atune yourself to the dreads already within you

go camp in the mountains and forrests become one with nature that forms your dreads

let watching your hair grow become your entertainmant and find fascination in the daily changes it goes though

as simple as this is all these steps are optional as well

in fact

dont do it can be your method to easy dreading

comb the hair

dont do it

condition or detangle in any way

dont do it

make dreads

dont do it

just let it happen

a georgia school gave 3rd graders a quiz with racist questions involving slavery and beatings

The question read, "Each tree had 56 oranges. If eight slaves pick them equally, then how much would each slave pick?"

Another math problem read, "If Frederick got two beatings per day, how many beatings did he get in one week?"

Another question asked how many baskets of cotton Frederick filled.

"I was furious at that point," one father said.

"This outrages me because it just lets me know that there's still racists," said Stephanie Jones, whose child is a student at the school.

"Something like that shouldn't be imbedded into a kid of the third, fourth, fifth, any grade," parent Terrance Barnett told WSB-TV. "I'm having to explain to my 8-year-old why slavery or slaves or beatings are in a math problem. That hurts."

"In this one, the teachers were trying to do a cross-curricular activity," Gwinnett County school district spokeswoman Sloan Roach said.

Roach said the teachers were attempting to incorporate social studies into math problems.

"We understand that there are concerns about these questions, and we agree that these questions were not appropriate," she said.
