Welcome to the community and to the beginning of your wonderful journey to dreadlocks. A good place to start for tips is the dreaducation section at the top of the site. I also started with T&R and posted some helpful tips: (Dead URL) http://www.dreadlockssite.com/forum/topics/just-starting-out-what-to-expect/a>

A fantastic journey has begun for you, enjoy every crazy step of the way towards your mature dreads. Don't worry, they will shrink and fatten up to become the thickness of where the section meets the scalp. ....peace

Welcome :) glad you've started off your dreads the right way (or one of the right ways). If you have any questions, feel free to ask. And of course feel free to make a timeline of your dread journey, members always enjoy those. Peace!

Welcome to the community Rosemary, and greetings to Mexico. What ever method you choose to use, I suggest letting your hair section naturally first, let your hair tell you where it wants the sections to be. This takes only a couple of weeks by washing and no more brushing. I also did T&R and have a post with great tips for that method: (Dead URL) http://www.dreadlockssite.com/forum/topics/just-starting-out-what-to-expect/a>

Post any question you may have, we all help each other out here....peace

Welcome. Not everyone is ready to go natural. I know I wasn't. Check out the dreaducaton page first. Then look through the timeline forums to see what they will look like in the next few weeks/months using different methods
