i need biblical references to dreadlocks my church kicked me out for wanting to dread

History and Religious Significance

Indeed this sentence has also deeply affected mi. The visual i see from this narritive is very intense! The almightys hands 'finger combing' the earth and his fingers catching on the locks of the righteous.I once had a dream that I was standing on a great wall upon a great mountain with hundreds of thousands of other dreadlocked peoples, pounding pon drums and fi some reason those words remind me of that dream. I'm not sure why.

How many dreads do you have ?

General Questions

My dreads are 3 months old, and I have 40 of them.fatties, skinnies, and some in-between...the length is just about touching my shoulders for all of them, besides a few on the top of my head. See, my hair was layered before I decided to dread...

need advice on combing out dreads!

General Questions

my friend and i got really wasted and she poured a WHOLE BOTTLE of conditioner into my dreads, let it sit, and began to comb them all out and they were gone within the hour. :(that was the worst mistake of my life. but her method seemed to work with very little pain involved (even though the tears streaming down my cheeks would have made you think otherwise)I'm sorry this had to happen to your dreadies, they were cute little nattys.there is always more time. ^_^

Dr. Bronner's

Introduce Yourself

My preference is for Uncle Harry's Aromatherapy Shampoo. (click the image for more info!)It really does something for my dreads that I cannot explain, and when I use it, my dreads dry shiny to the sight and soft to the touch. exactly what i look for in a shampoo. plus it retains their consistency of thickness... none of us wants our dreads to feel loose after washing them! I usually take the time to wash my dreads in sections. I don't rub them a lot in the shower, but when I get out and they have dried almost completely, I then begin to twist a little, but I usually don't do much with them and they look amazing. ^_^visit uncle harry's info page on shampoo to get some in depth details about what most shampoos contain and how they affect your hair.I do use Dr.Bronners, however I've noticed it loosens my dreadies more then Uncle Harry's products. Dr.Bronners is good stuff, and I fully 100% support fair-trade!!

How do you deal with closed minded parents?

General Talk

Oh, I totally overstand this post- especially beings where I am in I life right now.I have a lot of stress at home very similar to the stress you're facing, but thank JAH my father doesn't judge my dreadlocks as much as he did the first two times I did them...See, I'm 22 and unemployed. I DID graduate High School and I do have some college credits under my belt, however I feel as if I should have made better choices...maybe even gone to a real college. The point is, now it's too late for me to regret. I just have to DO something.. but I have no idea what to do...I know I'm probably of no help, so I suppose I am just venting as well. Thanks for letting me do so on your thread. ;)I hope everything gets better for you!! Just keep your head up and stay positive.
