Concerns About Neglect Dreads

Hi, I'm new here and think that this site is great. I've been wanting dreads for as long as I can remember, and I'm finally starting to let my hair dread. I was gonna try to backcomb it myself, but decided not to, so I'm letting it go natural/neglect.

My only concern is if neglect dreads would be too thin? Because I want my dreads to be thick.

Thanks ^.^

My neglect dreads vary in size, some are really thin and others are really thick.

The thickness of your dreads depends on how often you separate them.

mine the thinnest is as thick as the letter l on your screen and thats 3 extremely thin dreads combined

the thickest an inch

originaly only 2 or 3 were an inch 5 or 6 1/2 inch and many many many pencil sized or smaller when thety were 18 years old and dragging on the ground some thin ones broke at grround level

so i let em congo for 4 years zero seperation

6 combined into 1 all over

now a dozen are an inch thick

theres only a few thin ones left

i now seperate every so often only the already thick ones

I'd want my dreads to be around 1/2-3/4 of an inch. (though I wouldn't mind if the ones on the top/back of my head were bigger)

Soaring Eagle, I read your super clean dreads post and was wondering where I could get those oils (Tea Tree, Rosemary, Lavender), would Ebay be fine?

maybe but some essential oils arent really essential oils so its risky in featured discussions is 1 called buying essential oils that says what to look for as well as lists about 100 good sites the 1st 1 listed is the 1 i always use

SE, that third pic of you here is awesome! You should put it in the rotating picture viewer movie thing at the top of the page!

Ultimate bed head.
