Welcome to the community my fellow Canuck, I can wave to you across the Lake! Start off by reading the dreaducation section at the top of the site for great info on methods etc. Do you know how you were planning to start?

Don' brush or finger brush your hair anymore. In a couple of weeks it will separate into sections. If you decide to use a started method, like twist & rip, then use those formed sections to do them. Wash 2-3 times a week with a dread friendly shampoo. You have hard water in T.O. so you have a limited choice for dread products, as many don't work properly in hard water.
