Secret building that could be a house from Middle Earth in The Hobbit or Lord of the Rings

Category:
Duration: 00:10:40
Description:
A building in a secret location that could be a house straight from the set of a Lord of the Rings movie. This is an update of information for the hundreds of you that have emailed me asking for more info about the building.First off I will not reveal the location as by keeping it secret helps to preserve the building as the more people that know about it the more likely that someone will graffitti or damage it.That said here are a few answers to some of your questions:The building is in England. It was built over a period of several years starting in the 1980's.It was initally started as a shed for the landowners sheep but over time he continued adding to it as the owner was also an artist. It was never finished as the landowner never had planning permission for it and the local council stopped him from continuing. As such it is not a building that was ever lived in but the room with stained glass windows was used by the landowner for wine and poetry evenings with his friends. To give a sense of scale, the doors are normal sized doors. This is not a miniture house, it is full size. The house was not built for a movie set and has not been in any movie. It was built purely as a hobby and a labour of love.In response to all the comments about the turning sideways of the camera. I agree, it is annoying and makes viewing awkward. Explanation.... It was the first time this vid cam was used and It was thought that the camera would self correct when viewed if turned sideways to give a wider shot. Cameramans mistake!! :)
