"@femalepheromones Were they like fully crocheted, as in that's how they started? I started mine with twist and rip and used crochet to bring in stray hairs,..."
ok reread that no products used washed weekly thats good
2 months so retwisted and crocheted twice?
crocheted the whole dread or only roots?
if only roots and you doont repat it you will be fine
I need to sleep as you can tell by my typing
but tomorow post pics in 1 of those discussions
dont go fto bed with those bands in
really..take them out now
literaly every other site has a profit motive to lie
we are the honest site that ttells the truth
legally for jobs you have 1 defense.
the spiritual nature therefore only naturals protected
retwisting only causes balding over tightening the roots
palm rolling does nothing.. what it seems tto do lasts hrs to days
CROCHET DOES NOTHING BUT BREAK HAIRS MAKE THEM TOO STIFF AND TIGHT TO DREAD it will take 3 years to recover (lose stiffness) from 1 use!
(if tight)
the bands are horrible read here..only here eery single person hers experiences they tell you what they wet through at the hands of the people telling you what they are telling you
your hair will actually dread very easily
can you post pics but im sure if you take out the bands. separate em a d wash em and thats it they turn out magnificint
read here read here post pics if you have any issues I cant handle we have experts in even the worse problems the things your doing can cause
most of the people here who crocheted end up starting over
literaly everything you researched every last bit of it is new stuff made just to charge money
there was none of that when I started to dread (27 years ago they are 10 feet long now)
when they were just to the ground I got every job I ever applied for (I only apply for jobs I really want so I get em)
im on the board of an amazing org www.freedomswings.org (glider pilot)
dreads wont stop you from doing what you want to do (eve work for nasa we had 3 mambers who do)
but what your doing will stop you from having dreads
retwisting caused this
notice however they are still retwisting in the photo?
trying to force tighten the roots dammages the roots the foundantion
and the scalp!
well.. the y will be very unhealthy and get worse over time)
crochet is 1 of the most forceful and damaging it breaks thousands of hairs they will start to feel like bri,llo
they wont hang like hair but either be super naturally straight. or curl forward around he facfe (locticians vs self maintained if your holding it where you can see it it will curl forward)
post a thread with your photos and everything you have done..but..in the meantime stop it all just till you decide so you do no more harm.
TAKE THE BANDS OUT RIGHT NOW3 THEY WILL FEEL INSTANTLY BETTER MORE FREE AND ABLE TO DREAD
did you say they were only 2 weeks old?
we got alotta talking to do
but for this next week while we talk
take out the bands
dont palm roll
dont wear the dread sock
wash and separate after
thats it leave em loose
jive them time to tighten on their own
when is your next job interview
theres a few lettrs to employers around the site you can adapt
but in featured discussions read the lay concerning dreadlocks
title 7 of the employee rights act
I know your dreads couldn't look bad at 2 weeks but everytyhing yoiur doing is ccountrproductive and all of it damaging especialy crochet (and retwisting if continued)
we saw retwisting do near ermenant balding in under a year
please just for the next week while you read talk and think.. put the crochet hook away take iout the bands dont palm roll only separate after washing which should be done 1-3 times a week for most
pleae god tell me no wax wwas used or gels containing wax
throw the hook in the trash and stay away from locticians!
welcome but stop all of that palm rolling does nothing so do none
crochet is extremely destructive sets back dreading by 6 months
and twisting only makes you go bald
leave yoir hands off them except to wash and separate
