go to a few gatherings though the more you go to the more you know you always were.

next years big 1 will be Michigan or Wisconsin 

start planning today

plan 10-14 days

plan on  getting there 25th to 27th leave 10th  or so

thats a decent 1st gathering experience 

you get a few days of seed camp.. building the gathering but not so many days that it burns you out.. participating in the gathering plugging in a kitchens being a "sherpa" carying supplies  water wood  helping  in  diisabled family (like me) plugging in where you can do most good (if you know herbs or medicine calm for any healing booboos to broken limbs to any other emergency heart attacks rattlesnake bites even lightenig strikes) 

then  the gathering continue plugging in  where you feel right but take time to bliss out, absolutely on the 4th you can go to main meadow stay all night of the 3rd begin the day dawn on in silence, as others gaher to meditate pray (if thats what you want to do or call it) for world peace the healing of the earth and the unification of the people

its a powerful thing silence brakes at noon with the kid villiage parade (this year they joined the siilence and om) (also aum or ohm) near noon 1 person might stand or dozens all at once  or hundreds and they move ou t to circle around the meadow  a meadow easily a square mile or 2  all the way back to the trees holding hands forming an unbroken chain (thumbs point to the left so 1 hands on top (projective) other bottom (receptive) 

and the thousands begin to om vocalizing the frequency of the universe

usualy this can go on 45 minutes even an hour (we om before main circle dinner before and afrter councils etc too but usualy last 10 min or les)

and every night theres  wild drumming dancing rounf the fires music everywhere (24/7) but also gronala funk theater (granola funk expres is a group with well over 100 members that changes all the time aron funk i think it was just wion or was nominated for a grammy for his creation of that)  anyway granola funk theater on the 1st is singer songwriter night  ..amazing 4th talent show (do not miss it stay till sunrise if it goes on that long)  1 nights game show night just raucus fun (gong show dating game  i think family feud (between diferent kitchens)  new is the earlies show the earlies show is the originals who formed the idea of the gathering who attended every 1 from the 1st 1   passing  on the stories of the rainbow and how it came to be

after the 7th 7th till..they reach  consensus is vision council which picks the region for next year

and.. cleanup 

cleanup begins the day you arive but afte the 7th   we disapear any sign we were ever there.. 

even after cleanups "done" a small 'micrrotrash' crew might stay till 1st snow looking for anything visible to te eye..trash smaller then a peice of confetti.. 1 mm or so

anything that can be found is cleaned up

we, during the gathering put trash in our pockets people plug in by walking around all dqy everyday collecting pocket trash

we do (and were the 1st to do) source seperated recycling

every kitchen as wekll as  a main area for it ha recycling seperated.. but after the gathering  during cleanup we do even further seperating  going through the "landfil' bags and radically recycling it 

we then take all recycling and trash at least 100 miles away in all directions to minimize impact on local recycling centers (since we are in very low income and population areas)

we actualy make more money for local businesses then they get in 10 years, just in a month

anyways 25-27th arive lave when you wat after 7th but try to stay till 10th to 12th to get a feel for seed camp gatheringand cleanup

without overdoing it on the times that are more work otriented (with plenty odf playtime too)
