Welcome. There's no reason to ever touch your hair unless you are washing or separating them. If and when you need to separate, I have a video on my page that shows how to well. It's helped a few members here.
As for the shampoo, be careful to only use non residue shampoos. Just because it's natural, does mean it'll be good for locks. Most natural/organic shampoos leave residue and are too conditioning

well ill tell ya
mine started at only a couple inches
now thewy are a fooit or more past my toes
dont worry biut them being short now thats very temporary
take proper care of them now and evebtualy they too will be dragging on the ground
shops wilkl screw yiu every time even when thery dont screw u as bad as they usualy do
yea..take off the extentions
they should be loose for many months they should not have extentions or added weitght they should be free to move
take the extentions off and let em dread but its going to take some time
