Eagle is right, throw away that hook. You will have done serious damage already. 6 months to a years recovery time, most probably. They will get frizzy, but those loose hairs will get sucked back in over time.
welcome but never ever use a crochet hook not even obnce but if u use it every couple days yoir dreads will v=be totalt destroyed and fall off within a month

I even have some loose hairs that have escaped other dreads, that hopefully will start to form NEW dreads )
