welcome just stop using locking gels and start removing them your hair will only be clean when you stop putting gunk in them

use a clarifying shampoo to remove all buildup thenm stop using gels completely

Welcome. The gels are what is causing the lint and dirt. They also tend to prevent locks from maturing by building up residue. This can also cause mold. There is only 1 gel that seems to be worth anything. That's the one from dreadlockshampoo.com. It's designed to evaporate by itself and wash out in just plain water
