Welcome. Check out the dreaducation page first, Then take a look through the timeline forums.

The natural method is the healthiest. If you want to give your locks a jump start, the TnR method is better then back combing. Above all, NEVER use wax, gels, creams, and NEVER use a crochet hook

Hi Honeybee. I take the barrels apart and recycle every piece making home decor out of them. Coat racks, wine racks, serving trays, candle holders, incense holders, what ever I can think of. I too am big on recycling.

by using the website search bar up top, you can type in any words, like your shampoo name, to find out what other members have said about it in a previous posting. There is so much fantastic information here that helped me plenty in the past year.

Welcome Honeybee, you live in the same city as Soaring Eagle.

Love how the picture shows all your dreads. Peace

I haven't used it for my hair in a few years, but I still use it as my normal soap. You should dilute it anywhere from 12 parts water-1 part soap, up to 40 parts water- 1 part soap. I have a bottle in my bathroom that must be over a year old. It's a little on the expensive side (about $16 a bottle), but considering how long it lasts, it's cheaper than the baking soda wash.

I forget if I've or anyone has mentioned to you, if you have hard water, Dr. B's won't work for you. Out in Pittsburgh, you should have harder water. The USGS maps look like you have extremely hard water. Probably do to the mining in your area. So Dr. B's won't work well for you. In fact, the BS/ACV won't either unless you use distilled water. It's easy to distill your own, though. if you need help, I can do what I can, Youtube has a few videos on how to make your own apparatus

welcome but just cause a shampoo is natural doesnt make it good for dreads they still tend to9 have residues and condition

dreadlockshampoo.com is really the best out there but in our shops theres dozens to choose from that are all safe to use (we do not aloww harmful products or services here)
