All it really does it takes those frizzy hairs and snaps them and other hairs into smaller and smaller pieces, which sucks them in for a short time, but when they get frizzy, there are more hairs to stick out. Crocheting overtightens your locks, making them hard, too. Mature locks need to be soft and spongy.
