hmm u do want to seperate down to near the scalp but not to the scalp if that makes sense if they are joined up 2 inches and the joints are firmly dreaded together then you may need to either let them be 1 dread if they arent too thick otr do surhical slicing but that really should e a last resort
parts shouldnt be perfect are they growing togethr at the scalp or up the bodies of the dreads if scalp..leave em thats the way they should be if up the bodies so when you lidft 1 dread 2 come up then pull apart while wet if they still womt budge a lil olive oil on the connecting hairs should loosen them enough to rip
if they are well in the way to fusing into 1 dread then u can leave them to congo or very very carefully use surgical precision to snip or slice a few hairs at a time untill enough release to alow a rip
but snipping should be a last resort of desperation

Dread net with imperfect part. I am trying to separate 3 dreads that have been growing together at the roots. Probably because my part wasn't perfect. They won't rip apart. What if anything can I do?
Interesting. I've never heard of that method. But it doesn't sound terrible. The crocheting is damaging. But if it wasn't used much, it won't destroy your locks. If you don't get the retwisted, too, your hair should be just fine
Welcome. What are you washing with?

Welcome. What exactly did she do to wrap them? I'm a bit confused about that. Were any products used to hold them in place, or just the crocheting
well hope the crochet use was very very minimal
though i dont quite get the wrapping technique she used lol
tnr woould probably have been a better option
but sounds like she did minimal harm at least
ok as long as they are at a max 1 inch
