With this one, the sections will loosen & Zig & Zag & shorten and then turn into mature dreads. Do not re tighten any sections as they become loose, it is part of the process.

Welcome. Yeah, palm rolling can and will cause serious damage if done enough to see progress. It's not worth it. It destroys your roots.
I also hope no wax, gels, or creams were used to start them
