Welcome. How long is your hair now? It's never too soon to start locks. Just throw away your comb/brush, and wash with a dreadlock-friendly soap. Try to not finger comb, too.

On average, hair needs to be about 5-6 inches before it starts to lock up naturally. But you will start to see some sectioning before that happens
