That sounds like a great project. Hope you find some good data.
My studies are going pretty good. Taking O chem 3 this term, and it's lab. It's tough, but interesting. I just finished writing a report about how mycorrhizal colonization in native/invasive understory brush are effected by nirtogen deposition
osiyo.Very Lovely. Yes i do care about the land but most importantly i care about the creatures that inhabit it. I work with exotic animals. I care very much about my animals. In fact if i see someone hit an animal out of carelessness, i will freak out on them lol. but i will always remove the animal from the road. my history teacher back in high school always loved china and india. and by what he told me, i enjoyed india as well, until i saw thatthe villagers there were cornering tigers and beating hem to death. i always thought india was nice to thier animals. i hope they stop that non sense. wellll anyways im rambling. nvwadohiyada (peace)
They are completely misunderstood. Especially in the states. We now know they are important, but that doesn't stop people from pumping them dry.
That is probably what I will be working on. Preservation and restoration,
I spent a few week 2 summers ago in the West Virginian mountains doing water quality testing. Mostly for pH level, dissolved O2, and something else. I can't remember right now. We spent a few days with a group studyingmicroorganisms. I didn't get to study them. We just helped catch them. it was interesting. I never would have though about doing it in different parts of the same area of a creek. By that I mean on both sides of the creek and in the middle.
It was great to get some experience in what I'd be doing.
As much as I will be doing it for the love of it, I still feel the need to ask. Does it pay ok? And doe you work for a company, or is it a non profit organisation?
I see you are an ecologist. How'd you get into that? I'll be taking some ecology classes soon. I'm a Bio major and would love to get into wetland preservation

Good to know. I'd love to be able to go out and do the hands-on research and then do some consulting.
