Hi Joe, welcome to the community. Great to find out you do nothing to grow healthy dreads isn't it. Have patience, when your hair grows, your dreads will form. Not sure if anyone mentioned it to you, but there is a product you can buy from your local drug store in the vitamin section to help promote hair growth, results will show in 3 months. It is Biotin, take 6000mcg daily, your store may only carry 1000mcg strength, so then you would take 6 tablets. ....Peace
