welcome wax and rubber bands are both horible ideas you have to remove that wax asap!

when i started mine natural was the only way anyone even knerw of backcombing never was heard of till wax pushers started pushing it 10 years agothats why ya dont see so many dreads over 10 years actual 90% u do see are in the 3-4 yewar max range cause so many use wax and dont last longer then that..on this site we have a good number over 15 years, all are natural im willing to bet..im not trying to push natural on ya cause in some cases it can be slowert and can be not the best based on your lifestyle and profession but i wouldnt deewad any other way..but if u are not gonna try natural u should concider twist n ripsuggestion tho..today right now throw away your comb and conditionewrs start the natural process while u read up and concider options ..if you diont already have dreads by the time you are ready to srtart them at least ya will have natural sections to work with..but u mat find dreads born faster then u think

3 years is the average lifea]span of waxy dreasds its between 3 and 4 years that threy typicaly rot
you may like ekm but u will love em more when u remove the stu[iff sticky nasty wax
they wuill only improve when they are clean with no dirt and wax trapped inside em
