now top priority is wax ren=moval the wax must come out and a petroluem based wax is the harestr wax there is to remove
as far as i know the wax b gones nevrr been tested on petroleum based wax so this wikl be a great test
now once the wax is out dont roll rub or fuss
wash 2-3 times a weem and seperate as needed
nothing else

Dear god, ok. So. I didn't do the wax bit. That was a huge mistake. It's got to come out. Wax only creates an illusion of maturing locks. Inactuality, it prevents all locking, and if left in, it will cause mold, mildew, and eventually cause your locks to rot off of your head. It's not pretty. I lost 1/2 my hair in my first set to wax. And because wax is a hydrocarbon, it will NEVER wash out in normal soap and water. It needs a detergent to clean it. The wax-b-gone from dreadlockshampoo.com is the best for this. And because you live a stones throw from Eagle and me, it won't take long at all to come in the mail. If you want to start removing it in the mean time, Dawn dish soap will work. There are descriptions of how to use it in the dreaducation page. If you need clarification, let me know.
So from what it sounds like, you did the same things I did. I started on top and worked my way down. I, too, have nice thick locks around the sides and back, but scrawny, scraggly hairs on top of my head (If you haven't seen in my pictures or video's yet). It doesn't look too bad, though. But what you want to do, is NOT mess with the for a good long time. I'm talking years. Because of the way your started, the hair on top will be shorter than the hair on the sides and back. This hair needs months to grow out long enough, and time enough to start sectioning itself. Let it do what it wants to do for now. Most likely, the locks on top will always be a bit thinner than the rest. But it's fine. They will add volume to your hair, and when they get longer, they will fill in the gaps that the thicker locks leave.
All you should be doing now is washing 2-3 times a week and separating as needed. I'd even recommend a liquid soap for a while. In fact, the BS/ACV wash would be better if you have soft water. It's a no touch wash. You just pour on the BS solution, leave it for 10 minutes and rinse it off. Then pour on the SCV rinse, and rinse it off right away. There are tons of posts about how to mix the ratios.
