palm rolling doesnt do anything really it can make it seem to hasve less temporarily maybe an hour or 2 maybe a day but it really is a waste of time ..just ingnore the loose hairs they'kll drive u crazy ifd u worry about em so ignore em...
but if u crochetted u caused alot more then normal by breaking hairs so u should leave em alone for a long time to recover..crochet recovery can take from 6 months to over a year depending how much u used it

point is doing it 1 time only takes 6 months to recover from you never ever should crochet them
