I had a beaver tail for about a year. It got a bit mouldy smelling, but was too compacted to pull apart or rip, had to cut it into individual dreads but they had zero strength and lasted only a couple of weeks. So I cut it all off, started from scratch just seperating and doing bi-carb washes. Pretty happy with where they're at now!

I can see that you've got some super fat locks. If you need any help washing them, I'd love to send you a few tips. I love fat locks, but they can be a pain to wash and dry sometimes
