Iā€™m back! Second set after 3 years not natty

Introduce Yourself

Well itā€™s been a few years. Ā But Iā€™m back! Back when I started my dread journey I was lucky enough to have found this site before I destroyed my hair. Ā I had my first set for over 2 years when one day I just started combing them out. Ā Idk why. Ā It just felt right. Ā When I started my first set I hated my hair. Maybe thatā€™s why I wanted or needed dreads. Ā But right now I love my hair. And I feel itā€™s time to give my hair what it wants n let it dread again. Ā So here I am. Ā Starting round 2 of my dread journey. Ā And Iā€™m still thankful to this site and itā€™s members for all the great info posted here. Ā And Iā€™m sooo happy to be dreadful again. šŸ˜

Loose hair and flat roots

Dread Maintenance

Oh. And a bead on a flat spot helped a few flat spots I had. Donā€™t worry about em too much. Like SE said they will be fine. If you do use beads remember to move them often n donā€™t just leave em in the same spot.

Loose hair and flat roots

Dread Maintenance

Iā€™ve heard some people say that aloe will help with those whispy hairs on ur scalp. With all that maintenance youā€™ve had done it makes yours more noticeable. I use pure cocoa butter on mine after Shampoo when the fly always are out of control. It works for me by softening the hairs n gravity pulls em down a little. Stop getting the maintenance n ur dreads will loosen up enough so the short hairs have a place to go. šŸ˜

Wrapping yarn around baby dreads that are insanely loose?

Dread Maintenance

My experience with wrapping those tiny dreads is that they tend to bubble out of the open spots in the wrap. Then those bubble loops tangle. And then ur stuck cutting tiny bits of yarn or whatever string out of em. So I wouldnā€™t wrap it. Just really slows it down. Itā€™s getting loose now but will either knot up really snug later or migrate into another dread for a new home. But yea. Wrapping super thin ones didnā€™t work for me.

Vicki's Dreadlock Shampoo

Dread Products

I absolutely ADORE this shampoo. The liquid is my favorite. Used it with my first set of dreads. I tried many brands and this was by far superior! I love the dragons blood and nagchampa. šŸ˜ just started a new set and and looking forward to getting more dreadlockshampoo ASAP ā¤ļøā¤ļøā¤ļø
