So... Seperated my hair for the first time in almost a month of dreading. I was as nervous as a virgin on her wedding night. Only 2 dreads were more than a few hairs but that pair were really really together. I grabbed them and pulled and... It was like pulling apart industrial Velcro. My heart was in my throat. But They came apart with a series of ripping noises and that spot feels better. It moves again and those two look kinda neat added a bead to the one that was trying to swallow up the other and all is good, but it was scary 0.0

Yeah I bought it a while ago... Read the name and though good its healthy. I didn't like how it made my hair feel. My hair dries out sooo easily. Glad I read the label before I handed it off to her. Shes gonna try The bs/acv But i Have to set it Up for her lol. Btw she proved me wrong. 2 days and she hasn't brushed. Now if I could get her to let me photograph her... Lol

Thanks. I'll check both out.... Contains laurel Sulfa-whatever. Too many ingredients I can't pronounce. Not even checking the glass test. She can suffer through a week or two :p

Basically my aunt has decided she wants to try letting her hair dread but absolutely detests the thought of not using a shampoo. I have a bottle of Organix Tea Tree Mint Shampoo that I was going to let her use till we order some lockin up. Is this ok?

Bs opens your cuticle on your hair, letting water in for a deep clean. Which is why it fades hair dye. Acv closes the cuticle. It also restores the ph balance to your scalp Salt causes your hair to dry out as it sucks the moisture out if your hair because salt is a dehydrator (think ancient mummies preserved by being packed in salt) which makes your hair more coarse. And if you get it on your scalp you get the itchiness cause it's trying to mummify your scalp :p

I just read the ingredients on the lockin up shampoo. Nothing in there will fade your color like bs, but the worst offender to stripping hair color is water. It gets soaked up by the hair and when it dries it leeches the color out. So no matter what you use it's gonna fade. But the reason bs fades it faster is it opens up the cuticle, lettin in more water. That's why it's crucial to use the acv rinse, cause it closes the cuticle.
