we could use a lot more actively updated timelines

unfortunately we lost a lot of images in the site upgrade

ps a tip you cab click the embed media button next to the smily button to add images direct into a post then update that post as often as you want instead of doing attachments

One of Many Reasons Interlockng is BAD

salon and loctician dreads recovery

its definitely in the top 5 worse things you can do..possibly top 3

felting.. number 1 worse thing you can do (i won't include the incredibly stupid like super glue elmers glue etc) crochet interlocking those super tight styles locticians do..ever since vicki made wax b gone that's not in the top 5 anymore (i think)

so yea my best guess is felting interlocking and crochet would be the top 3 worse things that can be done to dreads that's commonly used today ..   and are hardest to recover from

Hello!

Introduce Yourself

welcome the crochet is very bad for dreads and if you look around you will see that everyone who experimented and thought every method was ok  if done carefully..lived to regret it and found that they are not at all ok

the reason this site exists is to help people not make the same mistakes other members made..so why would you want to make those mistakes too

carefully making mistakes is still making mistakes

Hot weather making hair 10x more oily

Help! Save My Dreads

stripping oils is counter productive  stripping oils causes the scalp to panic and over produce oils

bs/acv wont help, but as i think i said before, adding a lil bs..not acv only bs to the dreadlockshampoo liquid..might

i also suggested you contact vicki about seeing if she can formulate a special shampoo for you (and others with overly oily hair)

i just got back from a week in the woods so haven't had a chance to check in with her yet

i'll try to today..i also know some  of the top herbalists in the world...so can have her consult with them maybe

don't worry we will figure it out

in the mean time..since its getting worse by the day..wash with bs/dreadlockshampoo ..hot wash to help remove excess oils then follow with a freezing cold rinse..mind numbing cold

that will help seal the pores closed and prevent oil over production
