Is it not meant to be for me?

Dreadlocks Journey Emotional Support

I am going to be making this paste for the nape of my neck asap! I worked really hard to get the front to dread and it took about a year before I stopped having silky fine hair on my crown...the last thing to dread about an inch on the bottom, so hopefully this will get some dread action going there! :) I read through the whole thread and the pics show SO MUCH progress!!!

Yay for not giving up!!!!

It's not a race

Introduce Yourself

Dude is a champ at sacking, but watching him and those salon people hacking at his wife's head was
crazy! I mean, she looked like she was in so much pain, but was trying to tough it out on camera. Her head looks like a grid. :( I found him on Youtube while trying to attach my sister's hair to my dread. I ended up using a needle and hair as thread, but I found it fascinating that she would actually let him cut one of her dreads for a fucking Youtube video!!!

Introduce Yourself

That Skillteacher video he actually cut he dread off and reattached which I found really interesting....It were his other videos that scared the shit out of me! His wife's head is all squared and when you watch the chicks at the salon crocheting her whole head I literally want to cry for her! Too much scalp freaks me out!

oh i know you are 100% right the thing is

when you tell some of them how bad say wax or crochet or interlocking is they call you crazy and refuse to listen or even concider the facts

like on youtube skillteacher pushes crochet ..to hundreds of thousandsa and even tho his wifes dreads fell off in his hand if u dar say crochets bad he blocks you instead of listenung

Help! Save My Dreads

I'm in a few Facebook dread groups too....people get REALLY pissed off when you make suggestions about doing things naturally though. It's sad how set in their ways people are!

All of a sudden I REALLY want to add some removable woolies! I'm gonna try and superglue one to a little flat hair clip I have and see if I can add some crazy color to my hair! Other than crazy amounts of beads that I switch out sometimes and 1 hair wrap that's gonna need to be cut out someday, my dreads don't have the "crazy" factor I'd like them to have. :)

Kudos on this one SE! Sometimes I think some of the stuff you write is totally opinion-based meant to sound like fact, but this post was spot on! Loved the pics and reading through the rest of thread. :)

Ceramic Beads, good or bad

Dread Accessories

Watch out for chipped teeth! Seriously :) Ceramic and glass are to heavy for me.
