Dish Soap For Dreads, No Other Options

Dread Products

well i really don't want to go out and buy another shampoo because even though they work wonders, i haven't the resources to get these things and my parents are sick of buying me soap and essential oils. so i would really just like to hear any people's methods on getting rid of hard water problems without spending a fortune. nugs and hugs.

Dish Soap For Dreads, No Other Options

Dread Products

I have gotten to the point where I want to rip my hair out. I have about four dreads left, the rest is just greasy nasty hair. I have hard water, I have tried the BS wash, which stands for both bullshit and baking soda, Dr.Bronners, and ACV rinse. I want to try dish soap but I'm not sure what kind to use. I heard palmolive is good. Dawn too. Please do not press any soaps i have to order, I would like to just go to the store and buy one there. And please don't resuggest the other methods that didn't work for me. Sorry for the attitude, just want clean hair.

Oily Scalp From Dr.Bronners

Dreads Hair and Scalp Health

After I used the baking soda and rinsedthoroughly, it still left the sticky stuff. Since you said it's from the water, I would like to know how to get rid of this problem.

There are a lot of shampoos you can get. If you live in the states 85% of the country has hard-water. Personally I would try using more Baking Soda before you give up on that. Sodium bicarbonate is found naturally in mineral pools. It turns to a gas when it reacts to water so, if your hair feels rough or a little sticky/tacky it is from the water itself not the Baking Soda. Under products Heather and Panterra have a great list of shampoos and reviews written as well. Hope some of this helps, Jah Bless

Oily Scalp From Dr.Bronners

Dreads Hair and Scalp Health

I have been dreading for almost four months and for last two months I have been using Dr.Bronners lavender herbal castille soap. It makes my hair smell great and everything, but even after my hair dries, it looks and feels oily. At first i thought my hair was adjusting, but weeks went by and I saw no improvement. Also, I have been seeing little to no dread progress. If you experienced similar problems orhave a solution, please comment. Thank you!

Am I Going Bald?

Dreads Hair and Scalp Health

So i have been dreading a month and a day, and i really haven't had any major issues. but lately, my hair has been falling out. i have no idea where it comes out of, but it comes out in clumps of like 20 apiece. i first noticed this when i went swimming in a pool and then i saw a ton on my pillow? is there something i'm doing wrong or is this part of the wonderful process?
