I have been graphic designing for 12yrs and it would be very quick and easy for me to re-size the photos, or if need be I can even reduce the file size itself without sacrificing much quality and without reducing actual pixel dimensions. I've gained so much knowledge from this site, I'd love to contribute in this way, or if you happen to need any other graphics or anything like that done, I'd like to volunteer

3-month Update Photos

Ty for all the replys! @soaringeagle - My sectioning was square-ish (different sizes and slightly different shapes) in no particular order, and mostly naturally formed (did some T&R to some of the ends) but when seeing me normally, the part does not show as much. My camera was showing up too dark , so I added an extra bright lamp to that room for the photos, so I believe its mostly due to the lighting.

Life Issues Facing Dreads

Just to drop in my 2 cents - I work for a work-at-home call center, doing telephone customer service. This allows me to not interact with anyone in person, so no worries there If your interested in something like that, send me a message and I can give you some info on how to get into that type of work.

Ear piercings + dreads problems.

Both of my ears are 3/4", I wear tunnels made of silicon from a company called kaos softwear ( the silicon leaves nothing for the hair to catch on ) so maybe just look into some jewlery made of another material?

If this offends anyone or is in too bad of taste, please accept my apologies and delete this SE.The website UrbanDictionary.com, if you arent familiar, allows you to look up the intended meaning of most all slang words, such as this one:cock blocker \kk\-bl-kr\A person (male or female) who intentionally or unintentionally stops the progress of two others getting their game on.ex; Man, I could of hooked up with that hot girl I was talking to tonight but my ex was all over me. She's such a cock blocker!I invented (atleast I havent seen this anywhere else, and tried googling it with no result ) a new term and decided to add it to UrbanDictionary.comThe term is "Lock Blocker" which ofcourse is a person who is ignorant of the truth about this culture. It might be stupid, but I thought it was hilarious when I first thought of it. I dunno. Can I maybe get a few suggestions on what I should make the official definition out to be?a person (male or female) whos ignorance of.... blah my brain is mush right now. Help guys

Best compliment you've received on your dreads?

My neighbor that moved into the apartment next to me is deaf. One day, she came to the door and handed me a letter that she wrote. It started off "Hello, my friend and I saw your dreadlocks and figured that you might know where we can get some marijuana..." Not necessarily a compliment, but I thought it was kind of amusing, and though I was stereotyped, she was correct. So I got them some, and they shared. The End

Thank you all for your replies, its so reassuring to know that theres members here that have dreads with similar traits Not that I don't like them, but are there any herbs or treatments that would perhaps discourage the curl a bit? I know I should just let them do their thing, but I was hoping to get rid of my bothersome curl with the dreads hehe. Anyway thanks again all!

Dread Maintenance

So my natural hair is large, corse, curls that is not quite as kinky as African type hair. My nationality is Puerto Rican so there is probably some African in my background somewhere... Anyway. About a month in now, I'm noticing that my dreads are also starting to curl in a similar pattern that my undreaded hair did. Is this normal due to my natural hair type?(see picture below)
