Shampoo: Bar or Liquid?

Dread Maintenance

I've been sticking with the liquid since I have so many loose hairs after 2yrs and the new growth. I have noticed that with some of the loose hair/new growth I am starting to see a few baby dreads so I guess it all depends on what you like.

Is glycerin safe to use on dreads?

Dread Maintenance

What I do when I use the bars is first thing, cut it in half. Wet hair and bar, rub bar in hand then rub hands together focusing on getting soap on finger tips then massage that on my scalp and repeat until soap is all over my scalp. Run water over head real quick and scrub lightly to get it sudsy then rinse. I've been staying with the liquid lately cause my hair/dreads seem to like it better.

Is this good for dreads?

Dreads Hair and Scalp Health

I just washed and I added about 15-20 drops of jojoba oil in about a 1 gal pitcher. My hair has become so dry and brittle since I haven't really used anything for moisture until now other than ACV but since I have really hard water it just seemed to dry it out. Ill try the aloe here sometime. Gonna see how the jojoba oil treats me first. Thanks SE

I picked up a bottle of Pure Aloe Vera by Aubrey Organics. Says made with 98% organic ingredients. Ingredients are: Aloe barbadensis (aloe) leaf juice*, citrus grandis (grapefruit) extract, cyamopsis tetragonoloba (guar) gum*, tocopherol (vitamin E).

Not sure what to think about my dreads, don't think they fit well : (

Help! Save My Dreads

I checked out the pics and they look like there gonna be pretty phat. I like them but the thicker they are the longer they'll take to dry. Ur only 4mths in and still have a ways to go. If that were my set I'd leave them alone other than serparating after washing. Just my opinion.....

8 month natural dreads- need encouragement!

Dread Maintenance

Don't do anything to them but wash like twice a week. I'm 2yrs with mine and they're a love hate relationship. Hang in there and don't give in to the bs and that doesn't mean baking soda!

General Talk

Just hit 2 years. My dreadies are shoulder length and some tips want to continue to blunt up. I've tried and tried to stop it from blunting but didn't work no matter how often I pulled the tips apart. Guess I'm pretty much stuck with about 6 blunted ends. Ill post some pics later on of my 2 year mark.

Sea salt mixture & hard water

General Questions

Been wanting to ask this for awhile now. Does the sea salt mixture work with hard water?Been using it for some time now but i really cant tell much difference like if it tightens or anything. All i know is until i wash it out, it makes my hair look a bit oily like if i didnt wash in a few weeks. It does however dry it out. I wash with 2 - 3 days between washes.
