Is Something Wrong?

Dread Maintenance

nah ive never interlocked. a girl i knew wanted to do mine but i declined. her dreads looked alright but a lil painful in the root area and they looked halfway dreaded but then braid-like so i was like no. im tender headed so i try to shy away from pain i cant take lol

but mine, i cant find my phone but i'll upload pics later, the back is straight. they look like there locing up nicely but the front...they dont "seem" to be locing at all. there are a lot of gaps in the dread and the are loose, as in the back dreads feel tight and are harding up and also look like dreads. the front feels as if they are still normal twist. they arent hard at all and really messy looking

normal to have k=loose roots up to a year then still should have room for a fingr to fit under

your fine

Is Something Wrong?

Dread Maintenance

Not twisting as to speed of up the dreading process, just twisting as in randomly playing in my hair and i noticed that i could still see through the inside of the dread.

what do u mean by connected and u should not be twisting at all anymore just leave them alone stop twisting

Is Something Wrong?

Dread Maintenance

So I was checkin out my hair just now and i noticed that the inside of my dreads werent connected. I got began with the 2 strand twist method on the second of Januray. I just twisteda fewslightly the opposite direction that they are twisted in. I just thought that since ive been dreading for about half a year or so the inside should be connected...well dreading i should say. just my logic.

Am I wrong?

General Questions

Im just now leaving my 6th month so I guess you could say its my 7th. I retwist my dreads just about every 2-3 weeks. im not really sure how they should look right about this time so i came for guidance.

i wash them every 2 weeks but ive been told that i should do it every month. That same person also said just "let em chill". He feels I retwist them too often and they arent dreading because of that.

any suggestions?
