Sorry to hear what you are going through. They might be just testing you out, to see your reaction.Another way of handling this is to turn it into humor. Where you use some of their words spoken in your reply back to them in an amusing joking way, but naturally not one that they can be offended by, as they have to get the joke too. This takes practice, but through time it will come automatic to you.They said anybody with dreadlocks look like theivs and drug users.Possible reply, said with a smile on face and amusing tone in voice:"Ah well, I wouldn't know about that, as I don't mix with thieves and drug users, but I guess you do to know that!"And it looks like shit.Possible reply, again said with a smile on face and amusing tone in voice:"Oh you study shit a lot do you?"If you can't think of anything amusing to say, just smile back at them in reply, and continue with your work, that way you are letting them know that you are not bothered by what they are saying to you. As soon as they see you are not bothered they will more likely than not stop doing it.
