hair lengths + dandruff

Dread Maintenance

i got two questiones

1. so my dandruff has been acting up now to the point where theres little hard spots in my head that hurt when i scratch em off is there any way to prevent this?

2. before redreading my hair it went threw ALOT so it is litteraly all in different lengths and i can see the short hair sticking i know it just goes along with the frizzies but since there babies will the short hairs get sucked into the dreads once they mature a bit?

random question number 3.
some of my hair will just not dread up will it do that in due time if instead dreading it i just left it alone?

going natural right after cutting your hair?

Dread Maintenance

i hear going natural is best when you start from a fresh cut (basically a buzzcut) i never really understood that cause the idea i got from that is after a while without washing your hair for example it would just grow into knots (the way i see it) im not looking for a magical way to get knots im just trying to understand if what im thinking is the right way lol

going natural right after cutting your hair?

Dread Maintenance

i cut my hair not so long ago (3 months ago) and i havent really done anything with it in about 2 months so the question i have to ask is

when you grow your hair out and you just grow it out naturally once it reaches the certain length does it just grow into knots? i heard it was better to start out natural like i am but does it grow into knots or is it the same process?

wool hat?

Dreading Methods

i dont have dreads at the moment i used to but i never wore any headgear at the time so what im getting at is my favorite tan wool hat (im guessing its a tam)makes my hair nice and firm (like f i blow dried it and i heard wearing it will not up my hair? is this true and how well does it work for my hair the only long part is the top (it varies on the section the middle of the top of my head has the longest hair though it varies on each section from short to long)and the sides and back are generally short but can not up if had pressure added to the mix but what im trying to get at is if i keep my hat on 24/7 (which ive been doing lately) will my hair dread up and will it dread up fast? im kinda fascinated cause i might just let it do it if it does

sorta new to this.......sorta

Dread Maintenance

feel like redoing my locks but my hair atm is very funny looking lol my hair is primarily on the top of my head (very blotchy some hair is longer then others on top) and the longest part of my hair is past my nose is there anyway if i were to lock up the top and make sure it doesnt look stupid in the end cause i plan on making the back of my head grow natural so i can get a really phat dread grow from it anyway i can do this without it coming out bad or should i just cut my hair even?

Dread Maintenance

so i have been planning on redreading my hair for wuite a bit but i was waiting for some length to show and now that its long enough (well the top of my head atleast) i start now i have been neglecting my hair for a couple days and from bordom and impationcy i R&T some of the hair on the top of my head and had a thoughtis my hair going to dread quicker because i noticed that ever since i dreaded my hair earlier my hair got more frizzy and a bit more sectionedORis my mini dreads going to engulf the rest of my hair and create monsters lol

Introduce Yourself

i know im just wondering if it the dreads would be more centered to the top while dreading? like the top of my hair would suck up alot on the sides and etc soaringeagle said:
theres so lil diference in lengths it wont make any difference at all..unless the back was a foot or more longer it will make no difference

just let it grow and dread
