should i be worried?
Dread Maintenance
ohkay thanks!
so my dreads are 7 months old and i love em. but im getting worried cause the ends of most keep unraveling. and maybe i shudnt be worried cause theyre all pretty locked, but im asking is it normal for them to do this? am i gonna result in having them unravel all the way to the top?
thanks!
my friend has dr. bronners so i think imma try that and ill defiantly look for the maylees and neutrogena.
thanks!
so i have my second set almost finished but i need to wash my hair because its oily.
my friend just uses dove soap but im not sure if it has residue or not.
and does anyone know of any shampoos for dreads? i have swimming at school and it would be easier to just have a shampoo to wash out the clorine instead of using the bs washin the showers there.
replies are appreciated!
on facebook look up my freinds shauna rea or rootsie im sure they can help u out
but u certainly can do em yourself
1" dreads will be a bit large (though maybe that's what you like, I don't know). I always use a finger width as a guide when sectioning for a more "average" size.
You can do them! The most time-consuming part is sectioning, and yeah, it can be a bit tricky doing that on the back of your own head. If you can get a friend or relative to help section the back, it's a huge help. Once the sectioning is done, the backcombing or twist & rip is easy.
depends when one you more comfortable with, when i first tried T&R some peoples hair it did look alot more twisted then have that lock'd look to it, but when you get the hang of it they really look pretty good, backcombing seems more simple (always gonna be those small changes you can do with your backcombing tho)
in the end when either method matures they will look like locks.
