Dread Maintenance

If you want instant rock star glamor dreads than ya, do all that stuff and crochet up your loose ends you might want to set an alarm clock so you dont let one slip out. But be prepared later down the road for breakage, possible dreads falling of your head because of too many broken hairs and they'll be stiff as a board and look goofy... Or....Let them go natural, ya it'll be a mess, its part of dreading, its the process that just happens, your dreads will move when you move your head like real hair and you wont have to worry about them falling off later down the road, but the trade off, a little mess for awhile, just wear a hat. be patient is key here.

***ROADBLOCK*** Do not open if you dont enjoy token

General Talk

Well I thought this would be fun for the 420 crowd. Roadblock! Well if you've attended a Rainbow Gathering you probably know whats going to happen, if not, heres the deal. You'll be walking down a mountain or meadow trail and all of a sudden some folks in front of you will turn around and yell roadblock! everyone walking on this trail is stopped by this road block as everyone sits down. Now comes the fun part :) lots of J's or other smoking devices are passed around and everyone partakes. Now if your reading this and you have the ability to toke up right now, you should :) Even if you got to scrap that bowl ha ha... Well, right on, see ya guys down the trail. happy smiles happy smiles.....and PS, if you attend a gathering and dont smoke weed no worries, you can pass what ever is handed to you to another person.

ive been meaning to start this for awhile...

General Questions

Technically, I have to vote for when when you sleep. I think the dreads under the pressure of your back puts memory into the folds and knots that were made during that day. I also think laying on your dreads pushes the lose ends into the dreads, not all of them but a few at a time every time you lay on them. Then when you move around while you sleep I think this also helps to mat them up and tuck ends into the dread.... Just my opinion, and I know they are dreading every minute of every day, but I think more dreading happens or at least more dread memory happens under the pressure of your back.

itchiness and new dreadlocks

Dreads Hair and Scalp Health

I'm at a month right now and the itch has went away a lot. I had the same during the first 2 weeks, so I just took my finger and scratched my head, worked good :) IMO it made my roots more tangled by scratching, so maybe I'm a few steps further? we'll seeoh and I also wash at least every 2 days, some times its 4 nights in row, just depends on my job that day and how dirty I got.
