back combed dreads wont stay

General Talk

then your hair will be perfect for dreading. just wait a little bit longer and it will be so easy you wont have to do anything if you dont want to william said:
okay, yes i am in a rush to do it....because as i grow my hair it just gets curlier and fluffier, am im sick of it cause it looks weird, thats the reason why i am getting dreads.

Gotta say, from all your panicked posts here, you seem incredibly impatient, like I GOTTA HAVE DREADS BY TOMORROW. What's the rush, dude?

Hair needs sufficient length to tangle up and stay in knots. You only have a few inches of hair. As they say on Star Trek: you can't change the laws of physics. So just relax and let your hair grow in. Keep it clean, don't comb it, and don't use conditioners... and by the time your hair is long enough for backcombing or twist & rip, your hair will have already started to knot up by itself.

your hair may be too short. yest three inches is all that is needed but some peoples hair isnt knappy enough to dread it at that length. just be patient and let it grow a bit more. trust me i did the same thing and i am so much more happy that i did. my hair is almost six inches long now and it will be so much easier

Wearing head gear while washing hair?

Dreads Hair and Scalp Health

they can be worn to help keep them from having lots of loose hair if you arent a fan of loose hair. other than that they dont do much. Aaron"TheLegend" said:
