So New!

General Questions

Wash your hair when you feel like you need to, i wash mine every 3-4 days, unless i need to in between. I used the Dr. B Lavender and it worked good but we careful to dilute it well, and i think it reacts differently to certain water types. I would really recommend using the BS wash and ACV rinse. Just washed mine today and they are soopa clean :)

Hey everyone, a little help please?

Introduce Yourself

i would bet on them doing some unorthodox method, wanting to use some sort of garbage on them, giving you horrible advice, and charging you a ton of money. If thats what your looking for, yes salons can give you whatever they cal dreads. I would say the MAJORITY of the active posters on this site, did theirs themselves or had a friend do them, or went natural. Every other day there seems to be a post about this or that having to do with salon dreads and most of the outcomes I read about are them taking out whatever the salon did, and going with a different way. Tony Goodtime said:
lol true that dude, but what about the salon part. its possible to get these done at a salon right? ill tell the chick no wax, all natural. alcohol freee and water soluble and ill show her a pic. i should be fine right?

I love having loose hair in my dreads, I like to think of my dreads as a forest, and you can't just have trees in a forest, you've also got the bushes and ferns and tall grasses in there, it just adds to the beauty.

Dreads Hair and Scalp Health

So this is after you used the bar soap? Seems like a simple question but your rinsing really well right? massaging scalp as you rinse?

Start From Scratch or Work With What You Have?

General Questions

It would be best to work with what you have rather than start over. Hairs gonna lock either way, might as well have more to begin with.
