No... I did. And I'm good with the whole KJC thing.... I'm not getting involved in that sticky mess anymore, LOL. (He admitted later that after 'further research' he decided that ACV is a good thing to use... but not necessary the baking soda? For some reason he thinks you're supposed to use them TOGETHER in a rinse, which he has pronounced is mostly ineffective because they effectively cancel one another out.... (DUH)... Whatever. I know it works. YOU know it works.... and the people who want to know the truth will find out it works, too.

@NaturalWomyn --- It's great to hear you say that because a lot of ppl on the DHHQ facebook page are annoyed because they think I am too anti-product, LOL. I was feeling like I was too product-liking to be here and too anti-product to be there.

LMAO @IslandMama.... totally the vaccines.@SE -- I definitely can see how that is the case. I certainly haven't known as many dreadheads as you have, but I do feel like there is a certain personality type that gets really zealous about DHHQ to the point of believing they are infallible. Some people just NEED to be followers and, unfortunately, don't know how (or don't want) to open their minds and think for themselves.

I do some... Now that I combined a bunch and am down to 38 (from 51) dreads I am more and more liking at least a small smattering of loose hair and fuzz. (I feel like it matches my phat dreads.) I do like a certain level of neatness so I do use my hook sparingly, still, but it's only on those few occasions I feel like it's necessary. :-) I need to post some more recent photos to my profile! ricky williams said:
o hey do you still use the crochet needle? cause i thought you were going to go a little more natural on yours

I just plucked up the motivation to post this:

""In the case of removing normal dirt, baking soda is dissociated into H+ and HCO3- in water. The HCO3- ion is adsorbed onto the positively charged surface of the dirt so that the dirt can be removed more easily from the surface."

It's comm...only known that baking soda reacts with water (at room temperature). It fizzes and bubbles, which, in and of itself, shows there is a chemical reaction. Because it is a mild alkali it is good for breaking down things that are acidic.

Conversely, vinegar, being acidic, when used following a soak in a baking soda solution helps to balance the pH on the scalp and is good for removing anything alkali (grease, waxy build-up) and is known, like baking soda, as an excellent natural cleanser in place of chemical-ridden household cleaning products.

Having seen the results from using a baking soda/acv wash, I can definitely vouch for its efficacy. Check out this photo here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Enfield-CT/The-Dread-Queen/1235637743... !/photo.php?pid=280652&id=123563774334774&ref=album"

I have to admit I lost my motivation to post more on facebook tonight... I get fed up with drama (and stupidity) pretty quickly. I would LOVE some back-up on facebook considering how appalled I am that I am even having to debate this with him. The only thing that keeps me going back for more is knowing how his misinformation about this is just being accepted at face value without question and I don't want them to believe the propaganda.
